Biography
Alarifi Hamzh is a PhD candidate at Civil & Environmental Engineering Department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. Alarifi specializes in Geotechnical Engineering and his current research interest includes pipeline monitoring using fiber-optic distributed sensing, pipe-soil interaction, and lateral soil displacement. One of his notable involvement in infrastructure monitoring projects using fiber-optic sensing is monitoring elevated/surface pipeline movement at Malaysian electric company (TNB).
